Visiting times on both Lamorna Ward and Lanyon Ward is 14:30 – 17:30 and evening visiting is 18:30 – 20:00. Please note that we have a protected mealtime policy on both wards. Please contact the wards if you are unable to visit at the times stated as alternative arrangements may be made.
There is a Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) open every day between 8am and 10pm.
The X-ray Department at Camborne and Redruth Community Hospital is run by Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust to provide a local x-ray service to inpatients and outpatients. Patients are usually referred for X-ray by their GP or by the Minour Injuries Unit. As well as providing a wide range of x-rays it also offers ultrasound. Opening hours are between 9.00am and 16.45pm, closing for a one hour lunch break at 1.00pm.
The Outpatient Department provides a wide range of consultant clinics including Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Rheumatology and Gastroenterology and many more. This allows patients to be seen locally by their consultant. The department has an operating theatre for minor operations.
There is also a dedicated nurse-led Dressing Clinic, 7 days a week , providing a wound assessment and dressings service to patients on behalf of the local GPs in the surrounding area.
As there are no shop facilities inpatients are advised to bring toiletries, change of clothes, foot wear, medicines and books/magazines. We recommend that patients do not bring in more than £10 in cash.
